Beth A. Alpert
Beth Alpert is a past president of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives (NOSSCR), the largest organization of Social Security disability attorneys and representatives in the country.
She was a chair of the Social Security Committee of the Chicago Bar Association, and is a frequent speaker on various Social Security legal issues.
Beth was voted one of the top 3 Social Security lawyers in Chicago¸ and the top female Social Security lawyer in Chicago. Beth has been assisting claimants receive their Social Security benefits since 1983. She has personally handled thousands of cases at the initial, reconsideration, hearing, Appeals Council and District Court levels.
Beth graduated from Smith College in 1978 with a degree in psychology and economics. She graduated from Washington University school of law and school of business administration with a JD and MBA in 1982.

Marcie E. Goldbloom
Marcie joined the firm of Beth Alpert and Associates in 2013. Marcie brings with her extensive experience in the practice in the area of Social Security law.
Marcie earned her B.A. in Communications from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and her J.D. from the Gonzaga University School of Law. Marcie began her legal career litigating for the Social Security Administration. After spending nearly three years with the government, Marcie began representing claimant and assisting them with their Social Security cases. In addition to representing claimants at initial, reconsideration, hearings and the Appeals Council Marcie has extensive experience representing claimants in the district courts and courts of appeal.
She was a chair of the Social Security Committee of the Chicago Bar Association, is a member of NOSSCR and is a frequent speaker on various Social Security legal issues.
Like Beth and Patty Marcie has been named a leading lawyer in the area of Social Security disability lawyers in Illinois by Leading Lawyers magazine.

Elise D. Crawley
Elise Crawley joined Beth Alpert & Associates as an attorney in 2014. As the newest and youngest member of the firm, Elise brings a fresh outlook and technological savviness. Elise started with the firm as a law clerk and joined as an attorney in 2014. Elise simultaneously completed two bachelor’s degrees from the University of Missouri, graduating summa cum laude from the University of Missouri’s Journalism School and magna cum laude from the College of Arts and Sciences with a degree in Political Science. She went on to receive her juris doctor cum laude from Chicago-Kent College of Law.
Elise has been admitted to the bar in the State of Illinois, the Northern District of Illinois, and the United States Supreme Court. She has spoken on the topic of Social Security disability and Supplemental Security Income benefits and has served as the chair of the Chicago Bar Association’s Social Security Law Committee. She is an active member of the Chicago Bar Association’s Committee on Social Security Law and the National Organization of Social Security Claimant Representatives.

Patricia K. Best (Retired)
Patricia Best was named one of the top ten Social Security disability lawyers in Illinois by Leading Lawyers magazine. Patricia has concentrated exclusively in Social Security disability and SSI disability since 1985. She co-authored the Social Security and SSI disability chapter in the law book Representing the Low Income Client. She is a former chair of the Social Security Committee of the Chicago Bar Association, and is a member of NOSSCR.
Patricia graduated from the University of Iowa College of Law in 1981 and Grinnell College in 1978.
